Gossip

I like this story. I think the priest is  very clever. Gossip is truly a bad thing. Gossiping is a fatal action that can  ruin one persons life reputation. You can never really gain back the reputation you once had if someone gossips about you. I think that the analogy fits perfectly. As the pillow is a person and the feathers are his reputation. I will try my best never to gossip about someone knowingly. If i was the priest i would tell the girl that shge should be ashamed of herself. Then, i would make her apologize to the person she was gossiping about and try to fix what she had gossiped about.

The Holocaust

this Holocaust video makes me think. This is truly a very sad day.It makes me think what happens if i was a live when this happened. What the world would be like. Also, how i would of reacted. 6,000,000 is a lot of people! Most of these people were innocent, also. I think that is just horrific. That kind of makes me enraged. I mean, who would want to kill 6,000,000 people. I am just pretty much speechless about this video. I am so befuddled that i cant even say that much on this topic. This is something that should b e thought about, "what did the Holocaust do to us?"

Basketball

This presentation was my favorite of all of the projects. It is my favorite because i got to choose any song i wanted and sort of make my own music video. Like on MTV or other stations that play music videos. Also, i got to learn how to further use the IMAc computer. I got to use one of the more sport songs that are being listened to around the world. This one is called basketball by Lil Bow Wow. He made this for his popular movie Like Mike. He is a 13 year old kid that is in an orphanage. He finds a pair of shoes that were supposely worn by the great Michael Jordan. The shoes give him MJ's basketball skills and he enters the NBA.  

My easter

My easter was terrific. My family all came over and we feasted as usual. We had deviled eggs, apple salad, ham, rolls, and much more. My parent s gave my brother, my sister, and I  twenty dollars for each of us and a card to accompany it. The money isnt the important thing it was the thought of them buying me a card and thinking about me and my siblings. 

Inspirational Quote

And that is why I succeed.” This quote is from Michael Jordan, The best basketball player ever. He is definitey my favorite player. He has been a great role model. He is not like these new superstars that go to jail every weeknd for miss treating girls or drunk driving. He has never done that to me to islead me. this quote is my favorite quote because it lets me know to keep trying even after i fail.  This quote implies that everyone is human and are never perfect even the best player to play basketball can miss shots. 

Lenten Promises

I think all Catholics should take part in doing a lenten promise. i mean it's only for a little while. It is not that hard and if you are that addicted to whatever you give up you can do that something on sundays. I gave up soda and chocolate which is very hard for me so i tend to load up on these on sundays and take in as much as i can without giving it back. This brings me alot closer to god. It brings me closer to god because if i have to have one of the things that i gave up that much i can see that it is taking too much of my life and not leaving enough space for god.

Future Career

I have always wished to play a professional sport like baseball, basketball, soccer, or football. But, dreaming about these future careers always need a back up plan. These careers are very rare for people to go into. My back-up plan is to help these athletes that have fulfilled my first dream. I want to go into sports medicine. I want to do this because its related to something i love and, of course, it brings in a lot of money. I like to say, "If you can't be an idolizing athlete, then help one" Maybe i will rebel against all the doubters and become a professional athlete. If i try hard and practice a lot, nothings impossible. 

Service project

I am planning to work on a service project this summer and spring. First i am planning on working the baseball camp for the Peoria Notre Dame High School Team for Coach Ryan Williams. In the summer i plan on working the Peoria Notre Dame Boys basketball camp for Coach Eddie Mathews. Then after i plan on working the Mens soccer camp for Coach Bare. We hope to have a lot of people there because we were the 2008 Illinois State Champions for 2a. I will have about fifty hours or more completed by the end of these three. I think these is good because im helping kids get better at things that will keep them healthy and in the long run make them live longer

Paul Harvey

paul Harvey was one of the best broadcasters ever. He just died February 28th. He worked for the ABC radio networks. He was the most listened to radio personality in America.  His broadcasts rank among the top 10 radio network program. he was born a broadcaster. At a young age he began to host a radio show.Harvey was named Salesman of the Year, Commentator of the Year, Person of the Year, Father of the Year, and American of the Year. He was elected to the National Association of Broadcasters Radio Hall of Fame and Oklahoma Hall of Fame, and appeared on the Gallup poll list of America's most admired men. In addition he received 11 Freedom Foundation Awards as well as the Horatio Alger Award. Paul Harvey was named to the DeMolay Hall of Fame, a Masonic youth organization, on June 25, 1993. We will all miss his quotes and enthusiasm on the radio. Rest in peace Paul Harvey.

Podcast

At this moment i am working on a podcast for a movie. My movie is the classic, Remember the Titans. I love this movie because it is about football and racial clashes. It is hard because you have to make your own script and describe the movie in your own words. I am struggling on recording my voice because i have difficulties pronouncing perfectly. Sometimes, i stutter or talk to fast or don't follow the script. I am having success in how much i know this movie because when i was younger i use to watch this movie nonstop.

One such rocket, the Delta II, recently lofted the STARDUST mission into the nearby Solar System.STARDUST is expected to photograph Comet Wild in 2004 as it zooms by, and return interstellar dust samples to Earth in 2006. This is a good picture for me because i like watching the launches of the rockets. It is amusing to me how far our technology has elapsed over time. I talk to my grandparents and my great grandparents and they tell me how lucky I am. I find it funny because i know i"m very lucky already and i appreciate them looking after me. They make sure i live my life to the fullest. That is why i love this picture to represent my birthday. 

TAR HEELS

Last night was a great night. The North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team went in to Cameron Indoor Stadium to meet the Duke Blue Devils. It is rivalry week and they are arguably the best rival in Collegiante sports. They lived up to this as the up and down game went to UNC's favor as they killed the blue devils in the final three minutes to go. They were winning at the beginning but gave the lead up to end the first half. Reestablished the lead with three minutes and ten seconds to go and just poured it on for about twenty more points. Go tar heels!!!!

MEDIAS just doing their job

I think the media has not gone too far. Reporting the stories of athletes is what gets them paid. They would report a heart-warming story if Michael Phelps saved ten people from a burning fire.Or Alex Rodriguez jumped in front of a car to save a little cat.  So they have to report these stories too. It wouldn't be fair to make the fans of these highly praised athletes hanging out to dry. The media is not going too far i think they should even go farther sometimes. They have done an exceptional job o n these two stories and i applaud them.

Duke is horrible

Last night February 4th, 2009 was a proud night for the Clemson Tigers. They dismantled the number three ranked Duke Blue Devils. They beat them up and down the court scoring every way possible. They were throwing alley-oops, long three pointers, short jump shots, and some of the months best dunks so far. I am a North Carolina Tar Heels fan so pretty much whenever duke plays im going for the other team to win.  This was the worst loss for Coach K since they got absolutely destroyed by UNLV in the nationally Championship some years ago. HOW EMBARASSING? Go Heels. 

Forclosure

 Its called a foreclosure when the mortgage lender has to reclaim your house if you cant pay for it. foreclosures is a legal proceeding that occurs when a homeowner (mortgagor) fails to make the agreed upon mortgage payments and the holder of said mortgage (mortgagee), typically a bank, evicts the homeowner, seizes that property and sells it to another individual. The way i look at it is being an indian giver. Taking back something that they have given to somebody already. The current problem has been effecting some of my friend's moms. Such as, State Champion, Vince Cicciarelli, and current baseball player Billy King.

UNC men's basketball best team in the Nation

The University of North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team won last night. This win gave them a record of 18-2 overall and a 4-2 record in the conference. The game was very exciting last night because with the game tied with three seconds left they entered the ball. The ball was entered to the fastest player in the NCAA, Ty Lawson. He went done the court, shot a floating three point shot, and they won the game as the horn sounded. This team is underrated and got cheated out of their number one spot because of two loses that shouldn't of happened. Right now they have six players scoring in  double figures and two other players averaging nine every game. No team can compete with that. Go heels!! NC all the way.

The inauguration happened january 20, 2009 just ten days ago. It was a very historical day for all African American people. The United States of America inaugurated the first African American president ever. This made a difference for not only African American, but Caucasian people also. Who Knows? This could be the only black president that some people ever live to see. Some people weren't happy, but as long as he makes a good impact on the country I am happy. This day will be remembered for the rest of time. So, celebrate, you have been a part of history.

golden globes

The Golden Globes were very exciting this year even though i did not watch. I do not usually watch the golden globe awards or any award shows for that matter. I do not find these shows entertaining because i don't care who wins the awards. I like to judge the movies myself. However, i did see that Heath Ledger won an award. He won best supporting actor. This is a great feat for Mr. Ledger. He died after he made this movie of an overdose on medicine. I think he should of of won best actor. I like him because of the other movies he was in also such as The Knight's Tale and 10 Things I Hate About You. I do not think that those won many awards but, they were great movies.
